BatBnB was founded by two friends who anxiously watched in 2016 as more and more pesticide brands continued to roll out in stores. All the while, realizing that nature’s greatest natural pest-control solution, bats, are increasingly threatened and underappreciated in our society. Bats have been declining by the tens of millions due to white-nose syndrome and rapid habitat loss in recent years. Losing bats is not only a massive ecological loss but also a loss of the amazing pest control services they provide. The team concluded that since habitat loss is the main driver of bat extinction, why not help create habitat for bats: bat houses. Bat houses offer safe homes for bats to help raise their pups, while also bringing an eco-friendly form of pest control to people’s backyards.

But there was a problem: the vast majority of existing bat houses on the market, were either poorly designed for the animal’s needs or were constructed as plain clunky boxes that wouldn’t look nice in your yard. That’s when the idea clicked, and BatBnB was born, an incredibly high-quality line of designer bat houses that also look beautiful hanging in your backyard. From a napkin sketch, all the way to the stage of ABC’s Shark Tank, BatBnB has quickly become the world’s highest quality and best-selling bat house and has helped educate millions of people towards newfound respect for this animal.
